Community Partner of the Month:
Society for Disabled Children
(formerly Crippled Children’s Society)
It’s the mission of SDC to identify and reach out to the physically and
communicatively disabled, assess the need for programs for those persons, seek
solutions and foster cooperation with all available facilities and resources,
public and private. This mission is based upon a community tradition of
voluntary service, where concerned persons combine their efforts to solve human
problems The SDC serves over 1,000 clients through offering the following
services: Speech and Language Therapy Services, Medical Equipment Load,
Transportation Aid and Summer Camp – “Camp Blue Jay.” The SDC is located at 1819
Brundage Lane, for information or to donate towards helping clients meet their
maximum potential through their services, equipment or camp, please call Ashley
Charles or Allyn Harrington at (661)322-6243.
