Business Underwriting Program

Dear Businessperson, 
Thank you for your interest in our Business Underwriting program.  A Business Underwriting partnership with 88.3 FM demonstrates your commitment to the community and the cause of Christ.

WHY SHOULD I BECOME AN UNDERWRITER?

• Research has shown that listeners perceive underwriters as acting in the public good, not just as advertisers trying to push a product.  This creates a uniquely positive environment for your products/services that no other medium can offer.
• By your participation, we can assure you that it will prove it to be an effective method in which to make you services known while also contributing to the financial well being of this community-based Christian radio station.
• Underwriting is a tax-deductible donation to KAXL 88.3 FM that is gratefully acknowledged on the air.

ROTATIONAL SPOTS

• Messages are rotated randomly between the hours of 5AM-10PM, MON-SAT
• Message length: 30 seconds

FIXED POSITION SPOTS

• Enables the buyer to place spots at a specific time during the hours of
  5AM-9PM, Monday-Friday
• Announcement requires a 10-spot minimum buy which must be paid in
  advance of airtime
• Message length: 30 seconds
• KAXL and buyer will jointly agree upon airtime for announcements.  KAXL
  reserves the right to change the airtime if circumstances are warranted.  In the case of a programming change, a bonus announcement will be aired.

TERMS FOR UNDERWRITING

• Produced announcements are enhance donor acknowledgements and are in
  accordance with FCC rules pertaining to non-commercial radio which allow...logograms or slogans which identify but do not promote, location information, value neutral descriptions of a product line of service.  In addition, the FCC prohibits "calls to action," price information or offers of discounts or savings or an enhancement to buy, such as "six months free service" or "special gift for first 50 visitors."  All announcements will be subject to approval by KAXL and may require special revision.
• Donations should be received in the office by the 10th of the month.  No invoices or reminders will be sent. Donations will be acknowledged by
  a receipt. 
• The minimum term for underwriting on KAXL is six months.  After six months, the agreement will continue each month until cancelled or altered by either party.  In the event you choose to cancel your commitment, we respectively ask that you contact us at least one week prior to cancellation.
